Warm greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We are thrilled to share some exciting news with you!
🗓️ Mark your calendars for October 15, 2023, because it is our Development Sunday across every congregation in our diocese. This Sunday’s significance stems from the Synod’s resolution in April 2022 and the DDS-NK Board’s resolution in March 2023.
🌳 The funds we raise on this special day will play a vital role in our mission to nurture our land, fight malaria, and boost nutrition in our beloved North Karamoja. It is a day of transformation, where we aim to make a profound impact.
💚 What’s even more incredible is that we are not just raising funds; we are planting the seeds of change. The first beneficiaries of this Sunday will each receive 5 seedlings to kickstart our journey toward improving household nutrition, preventing disease, and making our motherland greener:
🌿 400 Mango Seedlings (both local and improved)
🥑 400 Avocado Seedlings (both local and improved)
🌳 200 Eucalyptus Tree Seedling (also doubling as a mosquito repellant at home)
🌟 We’re calling upon every child of our community to join hands in this noble endeavor. Together, we can create a healthier, more vibrant North Karamoja.
